| DJ was a Very Special Labrador He is the foundation sire of my kennel. DJ finished his Championship with multiple Specialty wins. He has produced many Champion Specialty Winning puppies with the brains and ability to compete in obedience, agility, and hunt tests. His Champion Erinhill children Rose, Top, Derry, and Keg join DJ in the ranks of Specialty Winning Labradors. All of them placed at least Winners at a Specialty, most often going Best of Winners, Best of Opp, or a combination, and most recently Best In Specialty Show winner Keg. Not only is DJ outstanding as a top producing sire, and show dog, he was special as a family companion. DJ got my paper every day, slept on or next to my bed (his choice), carried my training bag to class, pulled a cart full of firewood when we camped, and babysat for all the puppies here. He was the best buddy anyone could have. I couldn't write about DJ without mentioning his trade mark "bear trick" which he happily did anytime, for anybody but especially in the Best of Breed Ring like the time he begged his way to an Award of Merit at the Potomac...DJ will forever keep us smiling! |

| I am so sad to say DJ passed, on September 1, 2006, almost 12 years to the day he came to me. He will live on in his kids and grand kids. He will live forever in my heart. |
